Where your squad already is

Your whole gaming community, in one place.

Your roster, your events, who’s online right now. Session tonight, meetup Saturday, a tournament next week — it all lives here, and Discord still gets the ping. e404 is where your clan actually runs, instead of five tabs nobody keeps open.

//01·How it works

Three steps and your squad’s up and running.

  1. Form your squad

    Roster · roles · verification

    Start a squadron or join one. Hand out roles, verify members, decide who sees what. Your roster, your ranks, your rules — finally in one place.

  2. Schedule the play

    Sessions · meetups · tournaments

    Drop a session for tonight. Plan the weekend meetup. Set up a full tournament when it’s time. Every event binds to a Discord channel, so your squad gets pinged where they already are.

  3. Run it live

    Play-now queues · sign-ups · tournaments · streams

    A play-now queue fills for tonight’s session. Sign-ups open for the meetup. The tournament sets who plays who, with match reporting and owner overrides. When a squadmate goes live on Twitch, their stream shows up for everyone.

//02·The 11pm problem

Right now your clan lives in five Discord threads and a spreadsheet.

It’s 11pm. You’re chasing a headcount in one tab, the tournament in another, the dues in a third, and half the squad never sees the message. e404 pulls the roster, events, streams and Discord into one place. You stop being the group’s admin and get back to playing.

//03·Why e404

Everything your squad does, on one screen.

// 01

Tournaments that referee themselves

Single-elim, double-elim, Swiss, round-robin. Both captains confirm the score, or the match flags DISPUTED and routes to the host — the event thread keeps the argument on the record, and every override is audit-logged. No Challonge link taped on the side, no refereeing DMs at midnight.

// 02

Everything on one screen

Roster, bracket, Discord, Twitch, dues — same app, from sign-up to the trophy lift. Nobody has to alt-tab to find what’s happening tonight.

// 03

Live stream discovery

The moment a squadmate goes live on Twitch or YouTube, you’ll see it here. Watch the bracket and the stream side by side, no extra tab.

// 04

Discord that just works

Link your Discord server once. Events bind to channels automatically, so notifications land where your squad already talks — no extra setup for you.

// 05

Stats that follow you

Every match adds to your record — wins, losses, head-to-head against every rival you’ve faced. Per-game stats, match log, opponent history, all saved under your name.

// 06

Verified squads

A squad badge nobody can fake, because getting one needs a real institutional inbox. Prospects know exactly who they’re joining.

// 07

Mobile-first. Web-capable.

One account works everywhere e404 does, mobile and web. Approve a join request from the bus, lock in a bracket from the gym, or override a result on the train — wherever you are.

//04·For the one who runs it

You already run the clan. This is the ops layer.

The roster, the tournaments, the dues, the argument about who won — it all lands on you. e404 exists so running the clan stops being a second job: post the game night tonight, run the cup at the weekend, and watch the final like everyone else.

  • Disputes route to you — on the record

    Both captains confirm the score or the match flags DISPUTED and lands on your desk, with the event thread holding the argument in one place. Your override is audit-logged.

  • The chasing is automated

    RSVPs, check-ins, lock-in countdowns and result nudges are push notifications, not your evening. You set the event; the app does the door-knocking.

  • The money is legible

    Optional member dues under your name via Stripe Connect (Bronze and up). You see the exact split — VAT, card processing, e404’s 0.4% — before you set a fee.

Free up to 10 members — game nights from day one. Tournaments unlock on Bronze (£15/mo).

//05·Founding squads

Six weeks in. The first players are building this with us.

e404 is new. A handful of squadrons run on it today, and the people in them are shaping what ships next — the features, the rough edges, the calls. Get in now and your squad helps decide what this becomes.

The whole thing runs out in the open, in Discord.

That's where the founding squads talk to us. Come see it before you sign up.

//06·Pricing

Four tiers. One ladder.

Flat per-squadron rate. No per-member meter. The free tier actually does things, and e404 takes 0.4% of member dues — a fraction of what platforms like Patreon (10%) or Ko-fi (5%) charge, as of July 2026. Card processing and VAT come out of the owner’s payout, and the app shows you that exact split before you set a fee.

//08·Straight from the founder

I’ve been gaming my whole life. It started on Star Wars Galaxies, where a group of fellow nerds quested and raided together, yelling “Leeroy Jenkins” right before we got wiped. After I came home from Afghanistan, I struggled to reconnect with people but found solace in my gaming friends. The squad I’d met whilst playing PlanetSide is what helped me normalise and cope. Ten years on, they’re some of my closest friends — we’ve met each other’s families and had moments I’ll never forget.

Gaming gave me those people. I’m building e404 so you can find your lifelong gaming squad.

— James Palfrey, founder of e404
